I just starting to blog and to write seriously. Even though I’m still in search of my ‘writing style’ I try to keep writing to further develop my skill. I try to write about anything that makes me tick and inspire me, which so far it works.
I always worried I don’t have any reader for my posts and articles. Until now my blog is the only place for me to publish my writing. My visitor is so small, that I considered it negligible. But I want it to expand, not only blogging, but also writing published article or even books. I know it will take a lot of efforts to get there, especially when English is my second language. But still, my biggest fear is not making it happen and I just remain in my current position.

I have a serious phone phobia. When a potential client wants to talk to me via phone, I have been known to just let the job drop. It’s rather pathetic and I know that, but it is something that I’ve dealt with for a long time, I don’t even speak to my family on the phone! That being said, I am working hard to overcome this because at least 50% of my new job applications now want to talk to me on Skype or the phone, so I have to get with it or I won’t be earning!

Such a great post! I’ve said this before, but it’s so easy when you are working by yourself from home to forget other people feel like you do. These two phobias are DEFINITELY my top two. I would love to see you write more on this subject, because especially for someone like me who is just starting out as a freelancer, it’s SO helpful to learn how to get past getting in my own way. Thanks!

I suffer from opposite phobia. My success is driven by my fear of having to resort to low paying jobs or one of those residual websites.

As a relative newcomer to the freelance world, my biggest phobia is that I’m not qualified to write about a particular subject or don’t have the requisite experience. I pass over a lot of jobs because I say to myself, “Well, I’ve never done that before. I don’t know what it’s all about…Next!” Rationally, I know it can’t hurt to send a resume, but something stops me. I think it’s a fear of being asked to do a job for which I’m unqualified and I’ll turn in subpar work. Anyone else out there feel the same way?
