I tend to only take jobs on topics I know for sure I can blog well on. In the past I took jobs on topics that don't fall into my niche, but I still did try to be at least knowledgeable, if not passionate. I guess overall I can tell when someone is not totally into their topic, but it's easy to be wrong about that. Having worked for networks that cut pay, it could just be that the blogger needs money, and is spending more time elsewhere. It’s a hard question to answer, because I like blogging topics I choose, and I like blogging for money. I tend to only take jobs on topics I know for sure I can blog well on. It doesn't matter to me if I'm reading a blog of someone who writes for personal or business. I can tell though when it's for business and the blogs I don't care for are the ones that only post those Get Paid to blog posts. I can tell every time because they always seem to talk about weight loss pills, travel or the like. I just laugh when I see it because I know. BUT I'm not knocking it. I guess if I could make money like that and make the post more personal I might. I don't know though. Just thinking out loud!
