NBT Poll: What Do You Do With Pro Bloggers’ Newsletters

Many of the different professional bloggers offer newsletters now. Some of them ask you to sign up via a popup on their sites and others send you a sign up form after you comment. I subscribe to a few of them myself.  I don’t always have time to read them, however. That’s why when I’m asked if I’m going to offer a Freelance Writing Jobs newsletter I hesitate.

I’m not sure what I would offer on a newsletter that isn’t offered here. Moreover, I’d wonder if people really read the newsletter or ended up deleting them, unread.

So I’ll put it to you in the NBT poll. What do you do with newsletters you subscribe to?

Thanks for asking. I rarely sign up for a newsletter unless there is no RSS feed on the site, or they offer something “extra” not available on your website (but as you say, FWJ has it all!)

I’ve subscribed to too many newsletters that appear to be nothing more than a copy of a recent article with a pressured sales pitch.
