I purposely wrote a blog posting about a particular search term I had found using google’s hot trends, and a year later, I still get hits on my blog posting from people searching for that term. It was a very good indicator to me that it’s a powerful tool.

google alerts, newspapers and magazines, feeds of selected blogs i read, tips from frineds. Sometimes megite search.

Thanks for the tip – I love Google Alerts, but haven’t tried Trends yet. I’m on my there now!
