I haven’t visited for a couple of days because I have been busy writing, working. Thanks to you. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Jodee.
I’d be wary about the “Part-Time English editor for magazine” post. It looks like the person who posted couldn’t even edit their own listing. There’s obvious mistakes everywhere (like a period in the middle of a sentence for no reason.)
PLUS they ask you to take an “editing test”
Does anyone have experience writing for this ‘How To” website?
Hi Paul,
I have written for them through Demand Studios and have over 50 articles posted. Demand pays weekly and you get to chose the category. They alallow you 7 days to submit but you must follow there format and style to a T. The want very short and concise text with all paragraphs beginning with an action verb.
Hopes that helps.
Thanks again Jodee. I’m still searching, but I am hoping that Craigslist address provided really goes directly to the employee’s actual email address. I’m sure it does, but it seems that more people who give their actual email address already reply than do the ones who just have the craigslist address though I’m sure they also get a lot of replies so they can’t reply to everyone.
I’ve written about 10 articles for Demand Studios since mid-November. The topics are often ridiculous (I finished an article on egg salad yesterday) but the writing is pretty simple.
It’s worth applying but there aren’t many jobs floating around right now. Good luck.
Paul,
Ehow is where we write our own articles and we recieve a share of the revenue. I am seeing my montly income double up every month. One article that Demand Studio rejected I posted on ehow and as of today it has made me $32 instead of the $15 they would have payed.
It is well worth it.
I’m charmed by the notion of an article on egg salad and will now go increase Mitch’s page views by reading his!
The Chief Mom Officer @ Babyspot is a really old ad. I should know, I’m the Chief Mom Officer for them. (I’m also Nikki from http://www.theguiltyparent.com and http://www.chaosinthecountry.com)I’ve been working with them since October and I thought you might like to know Jodee. I’m going to talk to the person who created the ad and the site and see if she cant’ take it down.
You won’t believe the heart attack I had when I saw the CMO ad listed here. I thought I got fired and no one told me. Just confirmed though and I’m still employed
Thanks Jodee!
@ Nikki: I had no idea if that ad was an old one, and I am so sorry that you had even a moment’s distress because of it.
Hi, Has anyone ever worked for Demand Studios? I just got an email saying I was accpeted to be one of their writers, but for the life of me I can’t find out how much they pay! They want me to complete a W-2 form before I can search their site for jobs, too. Is it safe to give out my SSN, etc. to them? I found the job here on FWJ.
Thanks, Gina
@Jodee – Thanks. I don’t know if you are able to take it down or not but if so that would be great. It should be removed from that job board hopefully soon.
@gina I’ve written for Demand Studios. The articles aren’t difficult, you get paid regularly (weekly for most articles) and yes, you will need to complete a W-2 as they do send a 1099. Article prices vary but they are over $10 a piece unless you suggest a topic and then it can be $5 or more.
Good luck!
@ Nikki: I’ve taken it down now.
@Nikki–Thanks! You obviously have to write a lot then to make some decent money, right?
