They still don’t accept writers from outside US, right?
I’ll wait for that day to come!

purrfectdaze, I think that is correct. I am however, am a US citizen. I am one of their writers since last month. I enjoy making money at their site. Interesting topics and list and stuff.

Second time I applied for it, made it on the team. I read that there were those unlucky people who applied for the third time still didn’t make it.

I was curious about how Demand studios went through its applicants. When I first started getting into freelance writing I applied and was denied at the time. Since them I have gained more experience and clips and then applied to the Livestrong request, and was told that because I had already submitted an application to Demand Studios a while back I couldn’t reapply as they have me on file. But since I have a lot of experience in writing for health and fitness related topics I was hoping to be given another try. I know many of you are writers for Demand and was hoping you might be able to offer up some advice.

    Thanks!

  3. I applied to them two years ago and was accepted. But at the time my son was going through some severe health issues and I could not focus on what seemed like a bunch of “how-to” articles – not my favorite type of piece to write. But recently, seeing how this site (FWJ) was developing a nice working relationship with DS, I decided to try again.

I was accepted, and although many of the choices for assignments seemed out of my area, I was able to find a few that I could tackle. And my first piece was accepted with no rewrites. And the edits required for the following piece were all easy to understand and comply with, and made me see that DS really seems to be “on the ball”.

I may not do these sorts of assignments long term, but the experience helps improve our writing – no matter what we are writing about.
