My dear FWJ readers,
This is one of those notes that I dread writing. But there is no way around it, so I’ll dive right in.
The past few years have impacted our lives in ways that we would never have imagined — some good, some bad.
FWJ has not been spared, and we have come to a point where we believe that we need to make some changes in order to serve you better and stay true to our mission.
That being said, I am truly sad to tell you that the daily job postings will not be going live starting tomorrow, February 1, 2022.
This is a huge deal for all of us — especially to those of you who have been with us over the years. After more than a decade of daily jobs, FWJ is going to take a bit of a rest.
We still have our Freelance Writing Job Board, where you can see jobs posted directly by employers/clients. And, we will be giving you more resources that will help you with your freelance journey. Like these:
While we may not be with you every day — we will miss being your coffee companion in the morning — we are still here for you.
…PLUS we are working hard to give you a new FWJ experience in the coming months. So, expect a new look, a new program, and a whole lotta freelance goodness to come.
Don’t be a stranger!
Now, can we all take a moment of silence for the Daily Jobs, please?
Thank you, everyone. We appreciate you all!
I will miss checking for jobs on your site. Checking for jobs here has been part of my daily routine for years. I wish you all of the best.
Thank you, Gina. Back at ya!
The name of the site is “Freelance Writing Gigs.”
It no longer lists available writing gigs.
This is like going to pastrami.com only to find that it now only sells waffles.
Hi Steve,
I get you! Unfortunately, we have to put a hold on things. Check out our Job Board (https://www.freelancewritinggigs.com/freelance-writing-job-ads/) and other resources for freelance writers.
…you mean the job board that’s updated exactly three times in the last month? Not gonna find much work that way, that’s for sure.
