Job Summary
We’re seeking experienced and passionate remote grant writers to help expand our impact by identifying and securing funding opportunities. As part of our development team, you’ll play a key role in crafting compelling proposals, researching foundations and government grants, and working closely with our program staff to align messaging with mission.
What You’ll Do
- Research grantmakers, funding databases, and RFPs for opportunities aligned with our programs
- Write detailed, persuasive, and customized proposals, letters of intent, and funding applications
- Collaborate with program managers to gather accurate data, outcomes, and financial documentation
- Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reports
- Assist with post-award grant compliance and impact reporting
- Contribute to funding strategy and development planning meetings
Who You Are
- Experienced in nonprofit grant writing (minimum 2 years preferred but not necessary)
- Skilled in writing clear, professional, and emotionally resonant content
- Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working remotely
- Capable of interpreting budgets and program data for funder communication
- Excited about wildlife protection and nonprofit impact
