Job Summary

We’re seeking experienced and passionate remote grant writers to help expand our impact by identifying and securing funding opportunities. As part of our development team, you’ll play a key role in crafting compelling proposals, researching foundations and government grants, and working closely with our program staff to align messaging with mission.

What You’ll Do

  • Research grantmakers, funding databases, and RFPs for opportunities aligned with our programs
  • Write detailed, persuasive, and customized proposals, letters of intent, and funding applications
  • Collaborate with program managers to gather accurate data, outcomes, and financial documentation
  • Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reports
  • Assist with post-award grant compliance and impact reporting
  • Contribute to funding strategy and development planning meetings

Who You Are

  • Experienced in nonprofit grant writing (minimum 2 years preferred but not necessary)
  • Skilled in writing clear, professional, and emotionally resonant content
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working remotely
  • Capable of interpreting budgets and program data for funder communication
  • Excited about wildlife protection and nonprofit impact

  • Location: 100% Remote (U.S. only)
  • Schedule: Flexible, self-paced with weekly check-ins
  • Compensation: $45/hour, paid weekly
  • Start Date: July 2025
