We are currently seeking an experienced, Freelance Media Relations Specialist for a 12-month contract to support our growing PR team to secure press coverage for TV, print and online media outlets.
Our ideal candidate is a news junkie who loves creative thinking and knows how to work with the media to bring client’s stories to life. You will be a prolific news writer who can develop press pitches and client briefings. This role will support the team and will play a role in the strategy and execution of PR Campaigns in your market. We’d like to work with a Freelance Media Relations Specialist with strong existing media relationships and cultivate more on behalf of MassMedia clients.
Requirements
- Experience in media relations with a successful track record of landing placements with national news and podcasts
- Possess a strong understanding of the media landscape with existing contacts
- Proficiency in Meltwater or similar media tool to deliver impactful reports and demonstrate ROI for clients
