Freelance Writer – Storytelling & Monologue Specialist

Agathus Studios is seeking a deeply intuitive freelance writer with a gift for crafting eloquent, thoughtful monologues and essays–someone who can capture and refine a distinct, personal voice with authenticity and emotional depth. This role would go beyond just writing; it requires someone who can listen, absorb, and translate personal experiences into meaningful narratives that feel intimate, authentic, relatable, and emotionally resonant. We are looking for a storyteller who can shape raw emotions into eloquent words, find meaning in everyday moments, and instinctively understands how to craft narratives that move people.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with the executive team to intimately understand their voices and perspectives.
• Write across a wide range of storytelling formats, from introspective monologues and essays to social media captions, video scripts, blog posts, and website copy.
• Develop engaging narratives that captivate audiences and create emotional impact.
• Collaborate with our creative team to refine and adapt storytelling across different mediums, ensuring consistency with our brand’s vision, tone, and messaging goals
• Revise and refine scripts and copy based on feedback, ensuring each word strengthens the emotional core of the piece and maximizes audience engagement.

Who You Are & What You Bring:

• At least one year of professional writing experience in scriptwriting, storytelling, blogging, content creation, or related fields.
• Experience writing blogs, scripts, monologues, spoken-word pieces, or other narrative-driven content that evoke strong emotions.
• A natural storyteller with an intuitive grasp of human emotions and the ability to transform raw experiences into compelling narratives, someone who can extract meaning, insights, and lessons from everyday moments.
• Strongly attuned to voice and tone, with the ability to write in a way that is personal yet elevated, poetic yet accessible, and reflective yet engaging.
• A deep understanding of pacing, rhythm, and emotional beats to maximize audience connection.
• Versatility in writing styles, knowing when to be introspective and lyrical, and when to be concise and impactful.
• Highly adaptable, comfortable writing across different formats and tones while maintaining authenticity and depth.
• Collaborative and open to feedback, capable of refining and strengthening your work while maintaining the integrity of your work.
• Comfortable working in a freelance, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high creative standards.
• A portfolio showcasing your ability to move audiences through the power of words.
