Job Overview
The Montoro & Associates team is currently searching for math editors available to work during the month of December. The task is to edit PDF pages of our Algebra II textbook.
Duties
- Editors should perform revisions on chapters in PDF format.
- Ensure all content aligns with established style guides such as AP Style and The Chicago Manual of Style
- Verify accuracy of all answers
- Edit for clarity, tone, consistency, and grammatical correctness while maintaining the original voice of the author
- Collaborate with the developmental editor and provide constructive feedback
- Correct mathematical and non-mathematical errors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics
- Experience as an editor of math educational texts
- Experience in teaching Algebra I and/or Algebra II (preferred)
- Familiarity with AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and other editorial standards
- Ability to perform research effectively and verify factual information
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and authors
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for consistency and accuracy
